About the Author

Linda Estrella Ikeda

I, Linda Estrella Ikeda, am an Asian-American from the sunny state of California in the beach city of Long Beach. I live with my American-Irish husband, James Hickey, and our seven-year-old rambunctious white Siamese cat, named Mr. Pickle. We have been married for 37 years now and have no children. James and I have lived in Southern California for almost all our young and adult lives. James is a retired accountant, and I am a retired graphic designer and commercial photographer.

My Battle With Environmental Illness

My career was derailed and halted by the devastating “environmental illness” that almost annihilated my whole life in the last 3 years! This book is my non-fiction account of my “brushing” with death due to this illness. It centers on the negligence of the unaccountable, negligible, and unconcerned landlord who owned the commercial property that I leased for 5 years, as well as the ignorance and blundering actions of the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) of my beloved country, the USA.
